This
workshop caters to individuals with intermediate to advanced lettering
skills who are comfortable with the use of a computer but not necessarily
with Fontographer. Tool 2 Type will help participants become familiar
enough with the program to successfully create a font based on hand
lettering, or a preexisting font.
 
We
will cover several items of importance:
•
Demonstrations on the use of hand lettering as a template.
• Use of the various Menus of the program.
• Use of the tools and how to navigate through the font.
• Use of the powerful font editing Elements.
• Kerning and Generation of the font.
The
main objective of this workshop will be to help the participants
become familiar with Fontographer so they may begin using it to
create original typographic designs. For more specific information,
