O B J E C T I V E S
Mr. Leuschke enjoys continued success as a lettering artist and graphic designer with emphasis on typography and hand-lettering. His work consists of a variety of products in multiple industries such as social expression, advertising, visual communications, and multimedia. Over 90% of his work is computer generated using a Power Macintosh computer system, printing and scanning peripherals, and numerous software packages (listed below).

E D U C A T I O N
Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia with concentration in illustration and graphic design. Mr. Leuschke has attended lectures and workshops given by top professionals in the field.

H I S T O R Y
(March 1987 to present) Freelance lettering and graphic designs for numerous clients. Accomplishments include the following:

Designed the logo for the National Hockey League franchise, Minnesota Wild. Completed a digital redesign of the A & Eagle Logotype for Anheuser-Busch Corporation. Digitization of typefaces for such clients as Pontiac (a project assigned by Maritz Motivational Company), Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and Metropolitan Life Insurance. Other clients include: Franklin Mint, Bradford Exchange, Gibson Greetings, A.G. Edwards, Proctor & Gamble, Hasbro Toys, and J. Walter Thompson Advertising. A number of projects include work completed for international clients located in, Canada, Finland, Germany, the Philppines, and the United Kingdom.

(June 1986 to March 1987) Director of Lettering at Paramount Cards, Inc. located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Responsible for the departmental production of lettering and typography. Included the supervision and art direction of creative staff; departmental budgeting; scheduling of work flow through the department; and handling of artwork from outside freelance artists.

(August 1983 to May 1986) Creative Artist at Hallmark Cards, Inc. located in Kansas City, Missouri. Worked in the Lettering Department designing lettering and full-color illustrations for greeting cards and other social expression products. Responsible for paste-up and production of type and hand-lettering for greeting card artwork. Also responsible for the production of full-color artwork and hand-separated mechanicals.

(January 1982 to May 1983) Graphic Illustrator at T&W Sign Systems, Inc. located in St. Louis, Missouri. Designed proposal illustrations for presentations to prospective clients. Worked closely with sales team in establishing new accounts.

S P E C I A L
Good sense of typographic design with strong skills in hand-styled lettering techniques and type manipulation. Strong background in airbrush and color pencil illustration with an excellent sense of color. Good knowledge of printing processes and their applications. Internet website design using HTML language. Extensive computer graphics experience using the following software: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PageMaker, Adobe Dimensions, Typestyler, Fontographer, Microsoft Word, Filemaker Pro, Quark Express and a variety of utility programs.
